Cancellation of Orders and Returns.
We are happy to give you 30 days no quibble Returns Guarantee, If you feel that you are not happy with any aspect of our work or materials. Simply email us at sales@gssengineering.co.uk and we'll cancel your order and give you a "Returns" number which you will need to send with the goods.
Under the United Kingdom's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, UK customers have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item from the day the contract is made until seven working days have elapsed since the day after goods were received. However we are happy to refund you 100% if your not entirely happy with your Purchase upto 30 days from when the order was placed.
To cancel your contract, please notify us in writing within this timescale. We will refund the relevant part of the purchase price within 30 days of your cancellation and our terms of contract provide that the item(s) must subsequently be returned. Please package the item(s) securely and send it to us so that we receive it within 14 working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. The return address is GSS Engineering Limited, Unit 8, Grange Farm Road, Whitehall Industrial Estate, Colchester, Essex. CO2 8JW. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service and never use 'return to sender'. We will not accept liability for damage or loss caused by the carrier whilst items are in return transit.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is defective.
If we do not receive the item back from you with all requested details, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence/premises at your cost.
Delivery
Delivery Charges are Based on the actual weight of the ordered goods upto a maximum of 500kgs per pallet. if your order exceeds this weight then you will have to contact us for a delivery quote at sales@gssengineering.co.uk
Upon normal use, the correct delivery charge is shown in the checkout for the total weight of your order, there is no other option to change this figure, as its generated by the system, a breakdown of the delivery charges are shown below. Remember these are for Oversized Pallets, normally 8ft x 2ft.
You are welcomed to arrange your own collection with your own courier, but you must state its an oversized pallet 2500mm x 610mm. Some companies will refuse to take oversized pallets, so please make sure.
All Delivery prices are exclusive of vat which will be added at the checkout.
GSS Engineering Limited is a VAT registered Company, This means that VAT will be added to the total Purchase price at the prevailing rate 20%.

Delivery charges are shown on the site and are subject to increases without notice. A fuel Surcharge and additional costs may be levied for remote Scottish highlands and parts of Wales, Please email us at sales@gssengineering.co.uk if you feel that you will fall into this category.
All deliveries are quoted on the economy 2-3 day tarrif, Although Orders are dispatched the next working day if ordered before 1pm, customers need to be aware that they will not recieve their orders for 2 to 3 working days. A guaranteed Next day delivery surcharge is quoted at £35 for guaranteed next day delivery before 5.30pm
Customers that would prefer to collect their goods in person, must give us 2 days advanced notice that they will arrive, Goods that are paid for on day of collection must be made with cleared funds, Cash, paypal, or a Bank draft. No cheque payments on day of collection.
Deliveries to some parts of Scotland and Wales may not be possible, in cases like this you will recieve a refund of the Delivery Charges and must arrange Delivery to either Scotland or Wales yourself.
If you wish to Cancel your Orde because you cannot arrange delivery, then please email us on this Email Adress returns@gssengineering.co.uk Not credit can be given unless you go through the correct procedure, and delays may happen if you email any other address
Liability
This is as follows:-
- If the goods GSS Engineering Limited delivers are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, GSS Engineering Limited shall have no liability to you unless you notify GSS Engineering Limited in writing at the GSS Engineering Limited contact address of the problem within 10 working days of the delivery of goods in question.
- If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which they were despatched to you, GSS Engineering Limited shall have no liability to you unless you notify GSS Engineering Limited in writing at the GSS Engineering Limited contact address of the problem within 40 days of the date on which the goods were despatched to you.
- If you notify a problem to GSS Engineering Limited under this condition, GSS Engineering Limited only obligation will be, at its option:- to make good any shortage or non-delivery; to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question to the original method of payment, unless such method is no longer valid in which case a credit note will be issued to the value of due refund.
- GSS Engineering Limited will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to GSS Engineering Limited under this condition have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph (c) above.
- Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit GSS Engineering Limited's liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
- Deliverys- Once dispatched from our factory goods become the responsbility of the delivery company, We are unable to deliver to certain parts of Scotland or Wales, If this is the case please request a refund of the delivery charge and arrange delivery yourselves. We cannot be held liable or at fault should haulage companies fail or delay delivery, But if you email us as our dedicated email returns@gssengineering.co.uk then we will work with you to resolve any issues.
Nothing in this contract creates any right which is enforceable by any person who is not a party to the contract.
Force Majeure
GSS Engineering Limited shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
